Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all moving, packing, storage and junk removal services provided by Adela & Brothers Moving ("Company," "we," "our") to the customer ("Customer," "you"). By requesting a quote, signing an estimate, or authorizing our crew to begin work, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

We provide residential and commercial moving services in Florida, including local moves within Tampa Bay, long-distance moves within the state, and interstate moves when arranged in writing. Additional services include packing, unpacking, short-term storage coordination, and junk removal.

2. Estimates & Pricing

Estimates are provided based on the information you supply (inventory, access, distance, dates). Local moves are typically billed by the hour with a minimum, and long-distance moves are quoted as a flat rate or by weight/volume. Additional charges may apply for stairs, long carries, shuttle service, bulky items, packing supplies, or additional stops not disclosed at booking.

3. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and approved electronic transfers. A deposit may be required to reserve certain dates or long-distance moves; deposits are credited to the final invoice.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule at no cost up to 48 hours before your scheduled start time. Cancellations made within 48 hours may forfeit the deposit or incur a cancellation fee equal to the crew's minimum charge.

5. Liability & Valuation

By default, and in accordance with Florida and federal (FMCSA) regulations, we provide Released Value Protection at $0.60 per pound per item at no additional cost. Full Value Protection is available for an additional fee and must be selected in writing before the move. We are not liable for: items packed by the customer (PBO) unless external damage to the box is evident; cash, jewelry, documents or heirlooms of extraordinary value not declared in writing; damage caused by pre-existing conditions, natural disasters, or improper assembly by others.

6. Prohibited Items

We do not transport hazardous materials, flammables, explosives, ammunition, illegal substances, perishable food, live plants or animals. Please remove and transport these items yourself.

7. Claims Process

All claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing to Adelahomeservices@gmail.com within nine (9) months of delivery, with photos and a description of the items affected. We will acknowledge receipt within 30 days and resolve valid claims within 120 days as required by federal regulation.

8. Delays

We make reasonable efforts to meet scheduled pickup and delivery windows, but we are not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, mechanical failure, acts of God, or conditions at the origin or destination beyond our control.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.
